On January 5, 2009 Google announced the beta release of Picasa for Mac, a free software that helps Mac users easily organize their photos in one place, edit pictures, and share them online with friends, family, and the world.
On Monday October 9, 2006, Google launched a new Mac centric blog named "Google Mac Blog". The blog is focused on keeping Mac users up to date with developments within Google as they relate to the Mac.
Google has released Google Notifier - formerly Gmail Notifier. This new notifier includes alerts for Google Calendar events. Google provides the following catch phrase for the application, "Check your email and events without opening your browser". Google Notifier requires at a minimum, Mac OS X version OS 10.4.
Google Video Player for Mac has been released. The system requirements are as follows:
- Mac OS X 10.3.9 or higher
- Video card with at least 16 MB of RAM
- 1 Ghz or faster processor
Google released an updated version of Gmail Notifier, an application that notfies you when new mail has arrived in your Gmail account. The new OS X version is now a Universal Binary that runs natively on Intel or PowerPC Macs. Check out the Google Blog to see the details.
