Macworld 2009 officially kicked off on Monday January 5, 2009 but the expo really gets into gear on Tuesday January 6 when Apple Senior Vice President of Worldwide Product Marketing Philip W. Schiller delivers the opening keynote at the event.
Apple CEO Steve Jobs will not be conducting the keynote address and the 2009 event will mark Apple's final keynote at the annual show.

Speculation has been heating up over the past several days as new product announcements are widely expected.  Here's a brief rundown of some possibilities:
  • New iMac and Mac Mini models
  • Unibody 17-inch MacBook Pro
  • iLife and iWork revisions
  • Snow Leopard demo and/or additional details
