Consumer Reports June 2007: Apple Macs rank high in notebook and desktop categories

In the June 2007 print edition of Consumer Reports magazine, Apple Mac computers rank high in the notebook and desktop categories.  Models of note include the 15.4-inch MacBook Pro portable and 20-inch iMac desktop.

The 15.4-nch Apple MacBook Pro was the top-rated notebook in the workhorse models category, beating out 10 other portable models.  The 20-inch iMac desktop was ranked third overall was given a "Quick Pick" designation in the workhorse models category.

Fewest Repairs
More than 77,000 Consumer Reports readers provided feedback on desktop repair history and Apple was the top ranked manufacturer.  Apple didn't score as well on laptop repairs as it ranked in the middle of laptop manufacturers.

Of note, Consumer Reports described Apple Tech Support as "superior".

So if you're in the market for a a quality computer than can run Mac OS X and other operating systems such as Windows and Linux, get a Mac!
