Chalk up another special event for Apple, this time at the Photokina tradeshow. Apple indicates that they will be hosting a special event on September 25, 2006, a day prior to the the start of Germany's Photokina, the bi-annual event that focuses on "the shared future of photography, IT and telecommunications".

The invitation has the phrase, “Start photokina a little early this year”.  The image shown on the invitation looks similar to the image used on Apple's professional photo application called Aperture. Aperture is almost a year old as it was originally released in October 2005 so we may see a revision to the software at the event.

Will we see an update to the MacBook Pro at the event?  I say yes.
