Apple releases 16GB iPhone and 32GB iPod Touch

On Tuesday February 5, 2008 Apple introduced higher capacity iPhone and iPod touch models that double the storage space of the prior high-end models.  The new 16GB iPhone and 32GB iPod touch are now available for purchase from the Apple Store.

iPhone
The new high-end iPhone is priced at $499 USD just $100 more than the 8GB iPhone.  If you are considering making a purchase of an iPhone, the 16GB model is the better value between the two models.

iPod touch
The new high-end iPod touch is priced at $499 USD.  The while 16GB and 8GB models are priced at $399 and $299, respectively.  In addition to storing music, photos, videos, and movies, key features of the iPod touch include:

  • Multi-Touch interface
  • 3.5-inch widescreen color display
  • Wi-Fi (802.11b/g)
  • 8 mm thin
  • Safari, YouTube, Mail, Stocks, Weather, Notes, iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store, Maps
