Apple Mac OS Market Share rises 27 percent year over year - now stands at 7.86 percent

According to data collected and metrics tracked by market research firm Net Applications, Apple's Mac OS market share has risen to 7.86 during August 2008.  The rise represents a year-over-year gain of 27.18 percent based on August 2007 when Mac OS market share was measured to be 6.18 percent.
Key Percent Increases
  • Up 27.18 percent since August 2007
  • Up 3.83 percent since January 2008
  • Up 19.5 percent since October 2007 (month during which Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard was released)
