As with other Mac OS X applications, settings that dictate how the application functions are stored and modified via the application's preferences.  DVD Player preferences are an important way to configure how the application will behave.
  1. Launch DVD Player
  2. Click on DVD Player in the Menu Bar
  3. Choose Preferences
In Mac OS X Leopard

In Mac OS X Tiger

As you can see, there is a heading on the top that has settings for the features within DVD Player.  Simply make changes as you see fit for:
  • Player
  • Disc Setup
  • Full Screen
  • Windows
  • Previously Viewed
  • High Definition (HD)
