The 2007 Apple Back To School Promotion - Get a Free iPod when you buy a Mac
Apple has announced the 2007 s Back-To-School promotion. Qualified students who buy an iPod at the same time they purchase either a MacBook, MacBook Pro, iMac, or Mac Pro can get up to a $199 rebate. The promotion runs through September 16, 2007. This is a great deal for students because they can get the rebate on top of the education discount. It's a great way to save.
Apple has posted the following on their Back-To-School Page:
"College just isn’t the same without a Mac and an iPod. They make the tough stuff like reports, presentations, and research a little easier. And the fun stuff like music, photography, and movies a whole lot more fun. So whether you’re a new or returning student, a teacher, or a faculty member, you can start the school year off right. Buy a Mac before September 16 and get a free iPod nano by mail-in rebate."
The Apple Store shows the following image for the Back to School Promotion:

Students have the option to take a $199 credit and apply it towards a more more expensive iPod if desired. It appears as though the iPhone is excluded from this promotion. You can find out more details at the Apple Store.
