Help, Guides, and News on making the Switch To Apple Macintosh Computers
Southwest Airlines has added OS X as a supported platform for their popular Ding! software that notifies customers of special airfare deals. Prior to the recent update, the software was only available on Windows. OS X version 10.3.9 or higher is required to use the software.
As an added bonus, customers can receive two bonus credits when they download and install Ding!. From the Southwest site:
"Beginning March 20, 2006, Mac users can download DING! and start receiving Southwest Airlines’ hottest deals delivered directly to your desktop! Plus, if you download and install DING! for Windows or Mac between March 20 and April 3, 2006 and keep it on your desktop for 30 days, we’ll deposit two Rapid Rewards credits into your account!"
This is great news for Mac users as it demonstrates that corporations are identifying the need to make software for both Mac and Windows users. I expect more companies to add OS X support to their software as the Mac user base is steadily on the rise.
