Help, Guides, and News on making the Switch To Apple Macintosh Computers
Apple released Shake 4.1, an update to the professional and sophisticated 3D compositing, keying, image tracking and stabilization software. The update brings support to Intel-based Macs. Apple dropped the price by 80 percent from $2999 to $499. Note that current owners of Shake 4 can crossgrade to Shake 4.1 for just $49 US.
Apple states the following on their Shake site:"Shake 4.1, optimized to run on new Intel-based Macintosh computers, is now available at a price that will fit even tight production budgets. Used to create the world's most celebrated visual effects, Shake provides the only compositing software with a complete toolset for both single artists and visual effects facilities"
The lower price point should make it more cost effective for studios and special effects houses to make the switch.
