Safari Continues To Gain Market Share
This continues the Safari growth trend. According to MarketShare, Safari market share growth is as follows:
- March 2006 = 3.19 percent
- December 2005 = 3.07 percent
- September 2005 = 2.39 percent
- March 2005 = 1.73 percent
This trend should catch the attention of Web Developers and I expect more sites to become compatible with Safari. The increased market share can be attributed to an increased number of Mac users. In a January 2006 post, I stated the following:
"I expect Safari's market share to increase in January following the recent holiday shopping season and I expect the trend to continue during 2006 as Apple continues to gain popularity across most market segments."
That prediction has thus far come true and I expect Safari's market share to continue to expand as more people make the switch. To view Safari's growth over the past year, click here
