Recent Software Updates - Mac OS X, Safari 3, iTunes
Mac OS X Security Update 2007-007
Apple has released Security Update 2007-007 for the following versions of the company's Mac OS X operating system. Users can download the updates from the links below or obtain the updates by running the Mac OS X Software Update utility.
Tiger
- 10.4.10 Universal Client (Intel) - 25.7MB download
- 10.4.10 Universal Server (Intel) - 35.3MB download
- 10.4.10 Client PowerPC - 14.2MB download
- 10.4.10 Server PowerPC - 23.8MB download
Panther
- 10.3.9 Client - 48.7MB download
- 10.3.9 Server - 63.3MB download
Apple states that the update is recommended for all users of the above mentione versions as it enhances the security of the following components:
- bzip2
- CFNetwork
- Core Audio
- cscope
- gnuzip
- Kerberos
- mDNSResponder
- PDFKit
- PHP
- Quartz Composer
- samba
- WebKit
- WebCore
Note that Security Update 2007-006 has been rolled into update 2007-007.
Safari 3 beta version 3.0.3
Apple has updated the beta version of Safari 3 to 3.0.3. You can download it at the Safari page at Apple's web site. The Mac OS X and Windows version both contain security updates with the latter gaining stability.
iTunes 7.3.2
The latest iTunes updates the version to 7.3.2 and is available for Mac and Windows. Details about the update are limited as the following description is provided by Apple regarding the update:
"iTunes 7.3.2 provides bug fixes to improve stability and performance."
