Google Notifier for Mac - formerly Gmail Notifier
Google has released Google Notifier - formerly Gmail Notifier. This new notifier includes alerts for Google Calendar events. Google provides the following catch phrase for the application, "Check your email and events without opening your browser". Google Notifier requires at a minimum, Mac OS X version OS 10.4.
According to Google, the features include:
Easy access
To new Gmail messages with a quick preview of the message subject, sender, and snippet.
Timely reminder
For upcoming Google Calendar events, including date, time, event title, and location.Google Notifier for Mac
The Google Notifier is an application that shows you alerts in your menu bar, so you can see when you have new Gmail messages or upcoming Google Calendar events without having to open a web browser.
A few cool features:
- Universal binary - will run natively on PowerPC and Intel based Macs
- It will notify you when a new version is available and will automatically upgrade itself
- New icons
