Apple's Black Friday 2006 After Thanksgiving Event Happens Tomorrow

In the United States, the day following Thanksgiving is referred to as "Black Friday" and is one of the busiest shopping days of the year as it officially kicks of the holiday shopping season.

In keeping with recent tradition, Apple Computer will participate in Black Friday with it's ONE DAY ONLY sale on Friday November 24th

The sale will be conducted at the Apple retails stores as well as the online Apple Store.

Apple has posted a teaser at the online store:

"Come back to the Apple Store the day after Thanksgiving for a special one-day-only holiday shopping event. You'll find dozens of great gift ideas — all with free shipping.

Mark your calendars now. And until then, start your research by visiting our Holiday Gift Guide to find Mac and iPod gifts for everyone on your list."


In prior Black Friday event, Apple has offered discounts on select Macintosh computers and accessories.  This year's sale graphics shows items such as:

  • Mac mini
  • Mac Pro
  • iPods
  • Digital Cameras
  • Keyboards
  • Mice
  • Headphones
  • other accessories

In related news, Apple has posted their special holiday hours for the company's retail locations.  Most of Apple's US retail stores will be closed on Thanksgiving Day (November 23) and Christmas Day (December 25).  On December 31, most stores will close earlier than normal.
