On Wednesday April 25, 2007, Apple Inc released financial results for its fiscal 2007 second quarter (Q2).  Portables accounted 891,000 of the 1.517 million Macs shipped during the quarter representing 58.7 percent of the total units.

Adobe Systems released a press release today announcing the immediate availability and shipments of the new Adobe Create Suite 3.  Adobe announced the release the highly anticipated suite back on March 27, 2007 and began accepting orders on that date.

On Sunday April 15, 2007 at the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) trade show in Las Vegas, Nevada Apple Inc. announced Final Cut Server and Final Cut Studio 2.  Apple introduced a new application in the Final Cut Studio suite called Color.  Also making thier debut were ProRes 422 and a hardware device called IO-HD.

On Wednesday April 4, 2007 Apple Inc. announced Quad-core or 8-core all Xeon based Mac Pro workstations.  Every Mac Pro ships with the power of two multi-core Intel Xeon processors.  The company also lowered the prices on the Cinema Displays.

Although up 39 Percent from March 2006, Mac OS market share as measured by market research firm Net Applications (Market Share) shows that Mac OS market share declined by 4.7 percent in March 2007.  The total Mac OS X market share percentage for March 2007 comes in at 6.08 percent.  The decline is the first  monthly drop since June 2006.
