Standalone Installers: Delta and Combo
Apple provides two types of Standalone installers, Delta and Combo. Standalone installers are an alternative to using Software Update.
Delta Updates
These updates also called individual updates, upgrade Mac OS X to a higher version within the same base version. For example, the Mac OS X 10.5.7 update will upgrade Mac OS X Leopard from 10.5.6 to version 10.5.7.
Combo Updates
These updates upgrade the base version of Mac OS X to a specific version. Combo updates include all updates up to and including the version of the update. For example, the Mac OS X Leopard 10.5.7 Combo Update will update any version of Mac OS X 10.5 to version 10.5.7 in a single run. Users will not have to upgrade 10.5 to 10.5.1, 10.5.2, 10.5.3, and so on.

10.5.6 (PowerPC or Intel) update prior versions of Mac OS X 10.5 to Mac OS X 10.5.6
10.5.5 (PowerPC or Intel) update prior versions of Mac OS X 10.5 to Mac OS X 10.5.5
10.5.4 (PowerPC or Intel) update prior versions of Mac OS X 10.5 to Mac OS X 10.5.4
10.5.3 (PowerPC or Intel) update prior versions of Mac OS X 10.5 to Mac OS X 10.5.3
10.5.2 (PowerPC or Intel) update prior versions of Mac OS X 10.5 to Mac OS X 10.5.2
Mac OS X Tiger Updates
